Bel Air's Sam Foss shot a personal season best round of 35 at Chesapeake Bay Golf Course-Rising Sun Thursday to lead the Bobcats to a tri-match golf victory over North Harford and host Rising Sun.
The Bobcats scored 203, another season best, while Rising Sun scored 211 to finish runner-up just ahead of North Harford's 215. The match was played under overcast skies, with a few sunny spots throughout the match, according to Bel Air coach Ryan Doyle.
Backing up the effort by Foss in the team win, Matt Hottman fired a 38 and Tyler Newton shot 40. Nick Loiodice added a 42 and Rob Hopkins rounded out the Bel Air scores with a 48.
Tyler Stinar led North Harford with a 40. Nick Kress, John Nagengast and Alex O'Shaughnessy each shot 43. John Heaps closed out the Hawks scoring with a 46.
Rising Sun was propelled to its runner-up finish behind Chris Stena's 38 and Nate Loman's 39.
Mustangs top Cobras
In what was supposed to be a tri-match at Ruggles Golf Course, C. Milton Wright defeated Harford Tech, 200-256. Fallston was scheduled to participate, but did not make the match.
Shane Harper shot a 38. Quentin Cummings and Jake Fidler each shot a 39 to lead the Mustangs to the win. Ricky Scheeler, 41, and Stephen Rappe, 43, also scored for CMW.
Tech was led by Noah Davis, who shot 39. Andrew Small and Gracen Clem each shot 53, while Brandon Young and Morgan Artman each shot 56.
