The Harford Tech girls volleyball team won its second match in as many tries this week, beating visiting Bo Manor, 3-2, in UCBAC Susquehanna League action Thursday. North Harford beat Aberdeen, C. Milton Wright beat Joppatowne and Edgewood and Patterson Mill lost to Cecil County foes in other girls volleyball played Thursday.
Harford Tech's scores in the win were 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 23-25 and 15-10.
Notable players for Tech (3-7 overall, 3-7 league) were Britni Barber, five aces and great back row play; Brittney Horseman, seven aces and great back row play; and Brittney Chavis, four blocks and two kills.
NORTH HARFORD beats ABERDEEN
North Harford (7-3, 7-3) bounced back from Tuesday's upset loss to Tech by sweeping host Aberdeen, 3-0, in Susquehanna play. The scores were 25-19, 25-10 and 25-19.
Leading the Hawks in victory, Morgan Knox had one ace, 15 kills and one block, while Emily Cunningham had four aces, five kills and one block. Kristen Eyler and Julua Berg each had three aces and eight assists.
EDGEWOOD loses to PERRYVILLE
Visiting Edgewood (3-7, 3-8) dropped a Susquehanna match at Perryville, 3-1, Thursday. The Rams won the first game 25-10, but dropped the next three, 20-25, 15-25 and 14-25.
Alexis Goldston had seven kills and Krysten Turner had five kills to lead the Rams.
CMW beats JOPPATOWNE
C. Milton Wright improved to 10-0 in Susquehanna play Thursday with a 3-1 win at Joppatowne (3-7,3-8).
The Mustangs (10-1 overall) won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 16-25 and 25-18.
PATTERSON MILL loses to North East
North East visited Patterson Mill (3-6, 4-7) Thursday in Chesapeake action and beat the Huskies, 3-1. The Indians winning scores were 25-19, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20.
