The Fallston Cougars girls volleyball team improved to 4-0 overall and in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play Tuesday with a straight set win over host Patterson Mill. Bel Air, C. Milton Wright, Joppatowne and North Harford also won in girls volleyball.
The Cougars won the three games, 25-20, 25-8 and 25-12.
Rachael Holehouse had six kills and 13 aces to lead Fallston. Abby Claborn added nine assists and Emily Letke had seven assists. Phoenix Offutt was big at the net with four blocks.
Patterson Mill is 2-4 in Chesapeake Division play and 2-5 overall.
C. MILTON WRIGHT leads the Susquehanna Division
C. Milton Wright stayed unbeaten, 6-0, in Susquehanna action Tuesday by sweeping host Bo Manor in three sets, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16.
Senior Alison Jones led the Mustangs (6-1 overall) with four kills, one ace and one block. Also contributing to the win were Megan Amoriello, five digs; Jessica Lucas, three kills, two aces; and Anna Roark, one kill, two digs and three aces.
NORTH HARFORD beats EDGEWOOD
Host North Harford earned a 3-1 Susquehanna victory over Edgewood. The scores were 25-14, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-14.
North Harford was led by Emily Cunningham's eight aces, four kills and three blocks; Morgan Knox's five kills and three blocks; and Julua Berg's three aces.
BEL AIR sweeps HAVRE DE GRACE
Bel Air (3-2/6-2) defeated host Havre de Grace (0-4/0-5) in three games in Chesapeake play. Scores were 25-11, 25-9, 25-20.
Leading the Bobcats were Jackie Deluise, with seven kills and one ace and Jen Schofield, with 11 assists and two aces. Amanda Rodriguez added five kills, six assists and three aces and Alex Williams had three kills, four aces and one block.
Others contributing to the win were Taylor Cole, three kills; Tia Williams, two kills, one ace; Celeste Roland, two kills, three aces; Madison Bever, two kills; and Kaila Gonzalez, one kill and one assist.
JOPPATOWNE beats ABERDEEN
Visiting Joppatowne (2-4/2-4) knocked off Aberdeen (2-4/2-4) 3-1 Thursday in a Susquehanna match. Scores were 25-15, 25-11, 18-25 and 25-18. No further details were made available.
