Girls soccer: CMW, Joppatowne cruise to victories Tuesday

In Harford County girls soccer action from Tuesday night, the C. Milton Wright and Joppatowne squads won their respective matchups.

The CMW Mustangs improved to 3-0 on the season with a little help from Megan Frailer, who scored all three of her team's goals in a 3-1 victory over visiting powerhouse Bryn Mawr.

Frailer netted one goal in the opening half to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage heading into the break, then unloaded for a pair of tallies in the closing frame.

Kathy Kammerer and Mackenzie Cunningham each dished out an assist in the victory.

JOPPATOWNE over HAVRE DE GRACE

The Joppatowne Mariners came out of their Tuesday-night road engagement with the Havre de Grace Warriors as winners, dropping the host team 5-1.

The game was tied 1-1 at the half-time whistle.

Korey Carroll had two goals in the win, while Joelle Matthews, Annalise Paylor and Breonna Day all found the Havre de Grace net once.
