Edgewood takes OT thriller
Down 1-0 with less than a minute remaining their 2A East District VII Sectional semifinal contest with third-seeded North East Tuesday, the Edgewood Rams' freshman Caitlin Rankin rocketed a shot into the upper corner of the visitors' goal to tie things up 1-1, and give the second-seeded hosts the chance at victory.
The game moved to sudden-death after regulation time ended with the score knotted 1-1. In the first overtime period, Edgewood had a chance to wrap things up with a penalty shot, but the Rams failed to convert from the 12-yard hash.

Nasi Denegal had two saves in goal for Edgewood.
With the victory, Edgewood moves on to play fifth-seeded Fallston in Friday's sectional title game.
