A fire in a Kingsville shed caused $3,000 in damages last week, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Around 9:38 p.m. Sept. 22, a neighbor noticed flames coming from a shed in the 2600 block of Whitt Road in Kingsville, according to deputy state fire marshals.
Twenty-five firefighters from Joppa, Fallston, Bel Air and Kingsville volunteer fire companies controlled the fire within 15 minutes, but not before the damage was done.
The fire caused about $1,000 damages to Douglas Hooper's shed and about $2,000 damage to what was in it, according to fire officials.
The preliminary cause of the fire in the 12-by-18-foot shed is under investigation.
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-836-4844.
