Fire in Fallston garage likely accidental

A fire that officials say was likely accidental damaged a Fallston home Wednesday evening.

Around 7:47 p.m., the Harford County 911 Center received a number of calls reporting a fire in a house in the 2100 block of Harford Road in Fallston, according to a release from the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Callers reported the fire was inside an attached garage.

When firefighters arrived, the garage, attached to a one-story house, was heavily involved in fire, according to the release.

Crews from the Fallston, Bel Air, Joppa-Magnolia and Kingsville volunteer fire companies battled the blaze and had it under control by 8 p.m.

No injuries were reported in connection with the fire. The State Fire Marshal is investigating to determine how the fire began, but officials said Wednesday night they believed it was accidental.
