Harford police investigate Fallston burglaries

Harford County sheriff's deputies are investigating a string of burglaries in Fallston neighborhoods over the past two weeks.

There have been four burglaries since Feb. 1, two on Copperwood Way and two on Brandon Hunt Lane, according to police reports. The incidents were all during the daytime, Harford Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Monica Worrell said Thursday, and most involved the rear entry to homes.

"We believe they may be connected," Worrell said, "but we want to remind citizens to practice good crime prevention."

It's because of that trend that Worrell emphasized people should lock their doors, all doors, and report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.

The first two burglaries, in the 2000 block of Copperwood Way, occurred on Feb. 1, one between 8:40 and 10:10 a.m. and the other between 9:10 and 11:19 a.m., according to the report. The first one reported cash and a television, valued between $1,000 and $10,00, were stolen, and a basement window was smashed out .

A basement window and garage entry door were broken in the second burglary in that neighborhood, according to the report.

The next two burglaries were on Feb. 7 in the 3100 block of Brandon Hunt Lane. In the first one, between noon and 1 p.m., two jewelry boxes were stolen and an interior door was damaged, according to the report.

In the other burglary, between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., a jewelry box, watch, television and four laptop computers were stolen, according to the report. In both of the Brandon Hunt Lane incidents, residents saw a small white vehicle in the area.
