Edgewood man shot during robbery early Thursday

A 24-year-old man was shot in the upper leg shortly after midnight Thursday in Edgewood, according to police.

Daniel Beeghley, of the 900 block of Topview Drive in Edgewood, was shot in an attempted robbery near Swallow Crest and Eloise Lane, police said in a press release.

Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies were responding to a report of an assault on the block Beeghley lives when they found the victim.

Beeghley was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene by Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company medics and was then taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore by ambulance. Beeghley was released before 3 a.m.

Police describe the suspects as two black men, both approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall with "a slight build." Both suspects were described as wearing dark shirts, black bandannas and ankle-length denim shorts.
