Darlington-Dublin Community Council to meet March 19

The March meeting of the Dublin-Darlington Community Council will be held at the Conowingo Visitor Center on Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Morita Bruce, president of Friends of Harford. Her topic will be how community input meetings fit into the development process as well as when the public can (and can't) have a meaningful impact.

Yoga classes are held at Grace Church Parish Hall from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A Knitting Group meets every Thursday at the Wilson Ministry Center from 10 a.m to noon.

The Darlington Book Discussion Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. In March, members will be reading "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" by Cheryl Strayed.

Mark your calendars. On April 1 we're having a program called Backyard Chickens. The program will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Wilson Center, 1014 Main St., in Darlington. "Ever thought about raising chickens in your backyard but don't know where to start? Are you already raising chickens and would like to share your experiences with others? Let's talk chicken!"

Rev. Nick McDonald, the priest-in-charge at the Church of the Ascension, will conduct a Lenten Study through Palm Sunday, April 13.

Covered dish dinners will be held at 4 p.m. March 30, and April 13, followed by study time from 5 to 6 p.m. For more information, please contact McDonald, nickmed57gmail.com.

Cinderella's Closet sponsored by Aberdeen Lioness Lions Club will hold its dress giveaway event featuring brand new and gently used gowns. Each girl will have the opportunity to choose a gown free of charge. Must show current high school student ID to receive a dress. Limited quantities and sizes - first come, first served. Holiday Inn Express 1007 Beards Hill Road, in Aberdeen on Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
