A box truck flipped over on the Conowingo Dam Thursday causing traffic delays throughout the afternoon.
Around 1:45 p.m., a loaded box truck weighing about 26,000 pounds, flipped on Route 1 on the Harford County side of the Conowingo Dam, according to Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack.
No one was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash, but the accident was posing difficulties for police and motorists.
"It's difficult for us to get out of the road," Lt. Charles Moore, commander of the Bel Air Barrack, said Thursday evening.
That section of Conowingo Road was still closed at 5:30 p.m., but police expected the road to be reopened to traffic by 6:30 p.m.
