Football: Six county seniors to play in Crab Bowl Saturday

The 4th Annual Maryland Crab Bowl, Maryland's statewide senior all-star football game, will be played Saturday at noon at Bowie State University. In its four-year history, the Crab Bowl boasts well over 190 active alumni at virtually all levels of college football throughout the country.

As part of the Baltimore roster, six Harford County seniors will put the gear on one more time and compete in the game.

Fallston and North Harford each have two players in the game, while Aberdeen and C. Milton Wright both have one.

Representing Fallston are Ryan Umpleby and Connor Davis. Umpleby is a 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver and Davis is a 6-8, 240-pound defensive end.

North Harford's all stars are Jon Hammer and Brandon Wooten. Hammer is 6-1, 240 pounds and doubles as a linebacker and fullback. Wooten is a 6-4, 280-pound offensive guard.

Aberdeen's lone all star is Christian Carpenter, a 6-3, 185-pound wide receiver who's listed as a athlete on the roster.

CMW's lone all star is 5-10, 180-pound Brendan Magistro, a kicker and punter.
