Contestants sought for the 15th Annual Mason-Dixon Karaoke Idol contest

Come out and join the fun on the big stage. Organizers of the Mason-Dixon Karaoke Idol contest are looking for contestants with big voices and even bigger hearts. Idols will be singing for more than a fair medal, they'll will be singing for someone's supper.

Karaoke Idol will benefit the Mason-Dixon Community Services Food Locker. Contestants are urged to sign up and get their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to make a pledge and come out and see them perform on Wednesday, July 10 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the 15th Annual Mason-Dixon Fair, which runs July 8 through 13.

All ages are welcome; a parent must register and accompany all singers 16 and younger. To find out more about Karaoke Idol and to register to be a contestant, call Lisa Fifer, 717-968-5839.

Idol contestants can sign up and drop off pledges on Sunday, July 7 at the fairgrounds from 5 to 8 p.m. in the food court area or the day of the contest, Wednesday, July 10, if spaces are still available. Sign-up forms and pledge sheets are available at http://www.masondixonfair.com.

Karaoke Idol spots are limited and available on a first come first serve basis so sign up today.

A minimum donation of $15 is required to be a contestant – pledges must be turned in before a contestant can sing. Pledge checks can be directed to "Mason-Dixon Community Services;" all donations are tax-deductible.
