Harford Dance Theatre in 'The Little Mermaid'

Harford Dance Theatre will perform The Little Mermaid in Harford Community College's Chesapeake Theater Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17 at 7p.m., Saturday, May 18 at 3 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, May 19 at 1 and 4 p.m.

Based on the magical tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the stage comes to life with colorful fish, sparkling seahorses, a wicked sea witch and evil sea monkeys in a fun-filled retelling of the story of a young mermaid who gives up her life for the love of a prince.

Boys and girls of all ages will enjoy this underwater adventure with everything from tap dancing to hip-hop in Harford Dance Theatre's new twist on this well-loved classic.

Tickets are $8 to $10 and are available at tickets.harford.edu, the Harford Community College Ticket Office in the Chesapeake Center, or by calling 443-412-2211. Reasonable accommodations for a documented disability may be requested by calling Disability Support Services, 443-412-2402, in advance of participation. A minimum notice of two weeks may be needed to provide some accommodations.
