Employees at an Abingdon restaurant were robbed early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:50 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report, two black men wearing face masks approached Chick-Fil-A employees in the 400 block of Constant Friendship Boulevard. One of the men had a handgun pointed at the back of an employee and when the opening manager opened the doors, pushed the three employees into the building.
The men then had an employee open the safe, according to the report, and they stole cash in addition to two employees' cell phones and another's iPod touch. The estimated value is between $1,000 and $10,000.
After the robbery, the men left the scene in a dark colored Chevrolet Cobalt toward Tollgate Road. No employees were injured.
Both men were wearing gloves with black sweatpants and hooded sweatshirts, an employee told police. One man, who was approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, was wearing a white mask, while the other man, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wore a dark mask.
