HCC Announces New Board Members for 2011-2012 Harford Leadership Academy

Harford Leadership Academy has announced new board members for 2011-2012. Members of the leadership academy's board each serve a three-year term, help develop and coordinate presentations for the Harford Leadership Academy, and facilitate a communications network between present and future Harford County leaders.

New HLA board members are: Tom Cleaver, Hess Hotels Group; Richard Cozby, C4ISR, Aberdeen Proving Ground; Bernard "Danny" DeMarinis, MITRE Corporation; Vanessa Milio, Harford County Chamber of Commerce; Terri Schell, Harford County Public Library; Gina Shaffer, Shaffer, McLauchlin & Stover, LLC; and Robert Tomback, Superintendent, Harford County Public Schools.

Outgoing board members are: Mary Hastler, Harford County Public Library; Bridgette Johnson, Harford County Office of Economic Development; William Nori III, Clark Turner Signature Homes, LLC; William Seccurro, Harford County Chamber of Commerce, retired; David Volrath, Harford County Public Schools; and Joseph Wienand, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center/APG.

Harford Leadership Academy, a joint project between Harford Community College and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, is designed to promote the development of existing and emerging leaders in the community to create a committed, involved and diverse network of leaders in Harford County.

The year 2012 marks the 22nd anniversary of the program, which has graduated more than 700 leaders who live and/or work in Harford County.
