Harford Village Opens New Community Center

Residents of Harford Village, a land-lease community of more than 480 homes at 1115 Paul Martin Drive in Edgewood, are enjoying the additional amenities of a pool and playground.

The village's new community center also includes a community room that opens through a large canopied area to the pool and can be rented by residents for special events. The community center also contains a new office for the village's management and sales team and, on the lower level, a maintenance shop.

Sue Edgeworth, the village's long-time manager, hosted resident families at a gala opening earlier this month. Children enjoyed the festivities which in addition to swimming included a cookout, face painting, and other activities.

"With all this record-breaking heat, this summer was the perfect time us to be able to offer residents a pool. All our residents, especially our families with young children, are enjoying the pool and playground," she said in a news release.

Mark S. Weinman, a managing partner of the community, said the property owners made the investment to further enhance the quality of life for residents of Harford Village. Weinman noted that he was "especially pleased that the new community center supported local companies and hence the local economy." The construction company for the project was Griffith-Brilhart Builders, a Fallston-based firm.

"We continue to invest in amenities and services that keep Harford Village a premier manufactured home community in Harford County, said Mark S. Weinman, a managing partner of the community. For example, in addition to our new community center with its pool, prospective homeowners wanted the ability to buy new homes from us. In response, our office recently added the capability to sell quality new homes and we brought some new models into the Village for buyers to see. It's all part of being responsive," Weinman said in a news release.
