APGFCU Hires New Product Manager

APG Federal Credit Union, Harford and Cecil County's largest credit union, has announced Thomas J. Arena recently joined the credit union's marketing department in the new position of product manager.

Arena brings more than 10 years of product development, management and marketing experience to the credit union. As a key member of APGFCU's marketing team, he will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing products, services and making other improvements to enhance the member experience.

Prior to joining APGFCU, Arena was assistant vice president of product development and senior bank officer at Wilmington Trust Company, in Wilmington, Del.

Arena earned a master of business administration in information technology from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del.; a professional degree from the Consumers Bankers Association's Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia; and, a bachelor of science degree in information resource management from Wilmington University in New Castle, Del.

As one of the largest employers in Harford County, APGFCU has 275 employees, 70 percent of whom live in the county and 20 percent in Cecil County.

As a not-for-profit cooperative with its members' interests at heart, the financial and social well-being of the local communities remains APGFCU's top priority, according to a credit union press release.

Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Harford County or Cecil County.
