The Harford County Sheriff's Office is looking for someone who shot at a school bus carrying special needs students with a BB gun.
On Friday afternoon, a Harford County school bus passed Indian's Lair on Broadneck Crossing when the bus driver and bus attendant both heard "two loud pops" against the passenger side window, according to a police report. Three special needs students were on the bus at the time, but no one was injured.
The bus driver pulled over after noticing that two windows were broken, according to a police report. Deputies noted that the bottom windows near seats 6 and 10 were damaged, with shards of glass on the seats. One of the deputies determined from the window that it was shot by a "projectile," possibly from a BB gun, according to the report.
The bus attendant and driver said they noticed a young light-skinned black man standing in the fence as they drove by Indian's Lair, according to the report, wearing shorts and a dark shirt with the number 14 on it, police said.
The damage to the bus is estimated to be less than $500.
