David and Debbie Stewart, of Whiteford, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Julie Marie Stewart, to Thomas "Buck" Edward Stafford, son of Edward and Diane Stafford, of Street.

The bride-to-be, a 2006 graduate of North Harford High School, received a bachelor's degree in interior design from Marymount University in 2010. She is employed at Delta Lumber.

The prospective groom, a 2006 graduate of North Harford High School, received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2010. He is employed as vice-president of productions with Electronic Technologies.

A Sept. 24 wedding is planned.
