Boys Volleyball: Havre de Grace drops Fallston in straight games on Wednesday

The Havre de Grace boys volleyball team picked up its second straight match victory over a quality opponent on Wednesday, beating the visiting Fallston Cougars in three straight games.

The victory comes on the heels of the Warriors' Friday night win over powerhouse C. Milton Wright.

The first game in Wednesday's match was tight, with the hosts pulling out a 25-22 victory. The second contest went the Warriors' way, 25-17. Havre de Grace wrapped everything up with a 25-20 win in the third game.

David Beck led the Warriors, putting down a match-best 25 kills and four aces. Anthony Cofranesco had five kills and two digs in the victory. Sebastian Pruitt notched four kills and four digs for Havre de Grace. Tyler Cook led Havre de Grace in assists with 31 and also served up three aces. Steven Ashman and Cook both had two kills.

North Harford over C. Milton Wright

In a match that took two hours Wednesday evening, the North Harford Hawks toppled the host C. Milton Wright Mustangs, 3-2.

The Hawks battled back after losing the first two games, 25-21, 25-19, to win the next three, 28-26, 25-19 and 15-11.

Josh Weimann led the Hawks with 10 kills. His teammate, Alden Jones, had nine kills. Brock Hurley and Kevin Mackey both had six kills in the victory. Tyler Dempski led North Harford in assists with 15. Taylor Wolf had eight assists. Jones led North Harford with three aces.

Harford Tech over Patterson Mill

The Harford Tech Cobras bounced back to win going away Wednesday, beating the Patterson Mill Huskies, 3-2.

Harford Tech won the first game, 25-17. Patterson Mill came back won the next two, to take the next two, 27-25 and 25-16. Harford Tech took the fourth game, 25-18, and then ended the match with a 15-9 win in the final contest.

Thane Hash led the way for the Cobras, dropping 16 kills and four blocks. Close behind Hash was Zack Valenti, who had 13 kills and one block. Nick Waite posted eight kills and three aces. Brady Vickers had a match-best 30 assists. Hunter Norcross had four aces in the victory.
