Boys volleyball: Havre de Grace, North Harford, CMW, Bel Air triiumph

The Havre de Grace boys volleyball team is still undefeated in match play this season after beating the Aberdeen Eagles, 3-0, Monday evening. Bel Air, C. Milton Wright and North Harford also won Monday.

The Warriors won the first game, 25-9, the second, 25-15, and wrapped up the victory, 25-21.

David Beck led the Warriors in kills with 13, and in aces with eight, while also putting up six digs and two assists. Tyler Cook had 28 assists, five digs and four kills in the victory, while teammate Steve Ashman had eight kills, four digs, three blocks and one assist. Tony Confranseco had seven kills, six digs and two aces, while fellow Warriors Sebastian Pruitt put up four digs, three kills, two aces and one block. Sean Darney had two digs, one kill and one ace for Havre de Grace, while Randy Sorrentino had one dig, one kill and one assist.

CMW blanks FALLSTON

C. Milton Wright won going away Monday, knocking off the Fallston Cougars, 25-23, 30-28 and 27-25.

CMW's Ryan Walsh had six kills, two assists, two digs, two aces and six service points, while teammate John Heagerty registered 11 service points, 10 kills, four aces and one dig. Justin Pezella put up a match-best 38 assists, and collected four service points.

BEL AIR beats HARFORD TECH

The Bel Air Bobcats edged the visiting Harford Tech Cobras, 3-2, Monday.

Bel Air lost the first game, 25-21, then bounced back to win, 25-18. Harford Tech went up 2-1 with a 25-16 win, but the Bobcats took the final two games, 25-16 and 16-14.

James Scherba had 13 aces and 10 kills to lead the winners, while Aaron Farley posted nine kills, one block and one assist. Matt Kenner had eight kills and one block for Bel Air, while Njaramba Gitonga led the Bobcats in blocks with six. Jake Welch had four blocks in the victory.

NORTH HARFORD beats PATTERSON MILL

The North Harford boys won at home Monday, dispatching the Patterson Mill Huskies, 25-16, 25-12 and 25-10.

Austin Russell led the winners with eight kills, six assists and three blocks. Alden Jones had eight kills in the victory, while Tyler Demski had 14 assists and seven aces. North Harford's Josh Weimann had with six kills.
