Havre de Grace, North Harford, Bel Air win boys volleyball win on courts

The Havre de Grace boys volleyball team kept its record perfect Monday by beating the visiting Bel Air Bobcats, 3-1.

Havre de Grace took the first game, 25-13. The Bobcats countered with a 25-19 victory. The Warriors won the match by 25-17 and 25-21 scores in the third and fourth games.

David Beck led Havre de Grace in the win, posting a match-high 22 kills. He also had 16 digs, three blocks and a team-best seven aces. Steven Ashman led the Warriors with six blocks and had 16 digs. Tyler Cook had out 27 assists, five aces and three digs. Anthony Cofranesco had four kills and nine digs in the victory, while Havre de Grace's Sean Darney had 11 digs.

Hawks sweep Aberdeen

North Harford won Monday, beating the visiting Aberdeen Eagles in three straight.

The hosts won, 25-13, in the first game, 25-7, in the second and, 25-15 in the final.

Austin Russell and Josh Weimann led the Hawks with six kills each. Kevin Mackey had four kills. Dan Curry, Tyler Dempski and Alden Jones each had three kills. Dempski had a team-high nine assists. Taylor Wolf had five assists. Jones led the Hawks with four aces.

Bel Air wings Eagles

The Bel Air boys won going away on Thursday night, slamming host Aberdeen.

The Bobcats won, 25-9, 25-18 and 25-12.

Tyler Norcross led the Bobcats in kills with seven, while Jake Welch had a team-high seven aces in the victory. Kyle Johnson put up 14 assists, four aces and three kills for Bel Air, while teammate James Scherba had three aces and two kills. Jake Andrew notched a pair of aces and two kills, Aaron Farley had four kills, and William Holder helped the winning cause with three kills and one ace.
