The teams played through two, 10-minute overtime periods without a change, sending the game to a penalty kick shoot-out.

In the shoot-out, HCS penalty kick takers did not miss and by the fourth kicker of five, HCS had won and secured a perfect 15-0 season.

Eagles goalkeeper Zachary Gischel was named MACSAC tournament Most Valuable Player for his solid play through the tournament. The Eagles allowed just seven goals and scored 87 goals in 15 games.

HCS advanced to Saturday's final with a 4-0 semifinal win over visiting Granite Baptist on Thursday.

First Half Scoring: Steelman and Seth McCarty scored two goals apiece in the win. McCarty, Vince Wilson and Paul Franco each had assists.

Cougars top Tigers

Fallston closed out its UCBAC Chesapeake (upper division) schedule Thursday with a 5-3 win over visiting Rising Sun.

James Glezen scored the first of two goals on the night for the game's only scoring in the first half. Chris Levendag assisted the goal.

The Cougars then added three more goals to lead 4-0. Nick Baker scored on a pass from David Starleper, while Glezen added his second on another assist from Levendag. Levendag then tallied a unassisted goal. Zack Martin added the final Cougars goal with assist from Taylor Brown. Fallston goalie Robbie Kansler made three saves, while Rising Sun keeper Josh McKinney had 10 saves.

An upset win

Senior Day was extra special for the John Carroll Patriots, who upset Baltimore area seventh ranked Mount Saint Joseph, 2-1, on a crisp afternoon in Bel Air, avenging a loss earlier in the season.

After a scoreless first half, the Patriots struck first on a goal from senior Danny Beil with an assist from senior Paul Hammons. The Patriots added a second goal a few minutes later to go up 2-0. Hammons scored off a feed from Vince Perry.

The Gaels answered to cut the lead to 2-1, but the Patriots' defense, led by seniors Alex Snyder, Alex Hutton, Caleb Anderson, Zach Hammons and senior goalie Kevin Gambrell, denied the tying goal.

Gambrell recorded six saves in the win and senior Chris Wohlfort served as the workhorse of the team, covering 20-to-30 yard sprints and forcing multiple turnovers from the Gaels in the attacking third.

The Patriots picked up another win Monday, 3-0 over Calvert Hall. Perry scored twice in the win and Colby Fell added a single goal. Wohlfort and Hammons picked up assists in the win. Gambrell earned another win in goal with four saves.

Huskies drop Old Mill

In a Monday make-up, Patterson Mill knocked off Old Mill, 6-2, in non-league action.

The Huskies were led by Connor Neumann's two goals and one assist, while Tony Roney and Alex Embres each had a goal and assist. Kyle Walczak and Alex Littlepage also had a goal each, while Aaron Childs recorded two assists and Ivan Omorogbe had one. Brady Morton made five saves in goal for Patterson Mill.

Cobras edge Tome

Also in make-up action Monday, visiting Harford Tech edged Tome 2-1 in two overtimes. Tyler Smith tallied the first Tech goal, assisted by Josh North and Jeremy Brown scored the game-winner four minutes into the second overtime period. Tech goalie Dan Ashburn made seven saves.
