Fresh off its overtime win against Fallston earlier this week, the C. Milton Wright boys soccer team kept winning Thursday, blanking visiting Rising Sun 2-0 in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play.
Matt Madeira and Andrew Venanzi netted the Mustangs goals and Shane Carroll had one assist. The Mustangs scored a goal in each half.
CMW keeper Colin Miller recorded the shutout with four saves. Rising Sun goalie Josh McKinney also had four saves.
Cobras nip Elks
Harford Tech also won a shutout Thursday afternoon, beating host Elkton, 1-0, in Susquehanna play.
Josh North scored Tech's goal in the 19th minute off an assist from Greg Ransone.
Tech goalie Dan Ashburn made two saves in the win and Elkton goalie Kyle Calderelli had 11 saves.
Warriors win fifth straight
Havre de Grace won its fifth straight Thursday night with a 2-0 win over visiting Perryville in Susquehanna action. The Warriors first goal came in the first half, unassisted by Ralph Batykefer, while Gabe Larrimore found the nets in the second half with an assist from Tyler Sylvester. Warriors goalkeeper James Antonoplos had five saves, recording his fourth shutout of the year.
Rams lose by one
In Susquehanna play, Edgewood lost to visiting Bo Manor, 1-0.
