Boys soccer: Aberdeen, Harford Christian, HdG and Harford Tech win Tuesday

The Aberdeen boys soccer team evened its UCBAC Chesapeake Division record at 1-1 Tuesday afternoon with a come-from-behind win over visiting Rising Sun. Harford Christian, Harford Tech and Havre de Grace also won in boys soccer Tuesday.

Aberdeen trailed, 1-0, at the half of its victory, but outscored the Tigers, 4-1, in the second half for a 4-2 win.

Tyler Green scored three times and Hunter Haag once for the Eagles. Haag and Hunter Murray added assists.

Corey Thomas and Nick Smith tallied Rising Sun's goals and Connor Goodie had one assist.

Aberdeen goalie Matt Mengel had seven saves and Rising Sun goalie Josh McKinney had eight.

The Eagles are 4-3 overall.

HAVRE DE GRACE beats ELKTON

Havre de Grace improved to 2-0 in Susquehanna Division play and 3-2 overall after a 2-0 win over visiting Elkton Tuesday night.

The first of two second half goals came from Connor Haffey, unassisted, while Gabe Larrimore added a insurance goal with an assist from Austin Sylvester. Goalkeeper James Antonoplos recorded the shutout with two saves.

HARFORD TECH beats JOPPATOWNE

Harford Tech (2-0/2-2) beat host Joppatowne, 2-0, in another Susquehanna Division Tuesday. Tech goals were scored by Tyler Granese and Kevin Ferger. Joppatowne slipped to 0-2/0-4.

HARFORD CHRISTIAN rolls on

Harford Christian ran its record to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in MACSAC play Tuesday with a 5-0 shutout of visiting Carroll Christian Academy.

John Wilson had the hot feet, scoring three times, while Luke Steelman added two goals and three assists. Paul Franco also had one assist for the Eagles.
