Harford Christian routs Joppatowne, 11-0, in boys soccer

Playing on their home field last Friday afternoon, the Harford Christian Eagles pummeled the visiting Joppatowne Mariners, 11-0.

With the victory, Harford Christian improved to 2-2 on the season.

Alex Caldwell kicked off scoring for the Eagles, tucking a way a shot with an assist from Ryan Redmond.

Scoring next was John Wilson, who was assisted by Seth McCarty.

McCarty scored the Eagles' next two goals himself, putting one away with a helper from Wilson, and notching the next on a penalty kick.

Redmond put the Eagles up 5-0 with a goal assisted by Paul Franco, and Ian Edwards wrapped up Harford Christian's first-half blitz, scoring the sixth goal of the afternoon. McCarty was credited with the assist on Edwards' tally.

Wilson opened up the second half with a tally that was assisted by Franco. Minutes later, Franco scored his lone goal of the afternoon, with the help of McCarty's third assist.

Edwards scored with an assist from Wilson to put the Eagles up, 9-0, while Wilson and Noah Akers wrapped things up with a pair of unassisted goals.
