Playing at home on Saturday afternoon, the John Carroll Patriots (3-0) stomped the visiting Chapelgate Christian Academy Squad 77-33.

The Patriot defense held the guests to a pair of tallies in the third quarter and five points in the opening frame, while forcing 29 turnovers.

Leading the way for the John Carroll offense was Jarred Jones, who put up 15 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and two assists.

Kamau Stokes had a team-high 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals, while teammate Michael Maric posted 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two assists. Rodney Elliot and Justin Jenifer each had a game-best five assists, while combining for 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Lionel Owona had six rebounds and four points in the victory, while Marcus James had six points and one assist. Mike Owona and Christian Owona combined for four points and four rebounds.
