Sheriff's office seeking a person of interest in a Belcamp assault

The sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in finding a man who may have information about a sexual assault in Belcamp Dec. 7.

At about 11 p.m. Dec. 7, Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace for a report of a physical assault.

The victim, a 30-year-old Baltimore woman who works in the Harford County area, reported being assaulted earlier the same day between 4:30 and 6 p.m. in the 4400 block of Mercedes Drive in Belcamp. Investigators determined that the victim, in addition to being physically assaulted, had been sexually assaulted.

Sheriff's detectives are seeking the public's assistance in finding the person in this composite drawing. He is described as a short white man approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall, in his early 60s and balding with a salt/pepper beard. The man may have knowledge of the incident and is being sought for questioning.
