A Bel Air home was damaged by fire Thursday night, the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office reported.
Firefighters responded to a blaze at 104 S. Shamrock Road at 10:43 p.m., according to a notice of investigation.
The one-story house suffered $30,000 total in damage after a clothes dryer malfunctioned, according to the notice.
No one was injured.
The fire started in the laundry room in the basement and 25 firefighters had it controlled in about 20 minutes.
Firefighters from Bel Air, Fallston and Abingdon fire companies responded.
