A fire Monday caused $15,000 in damage to a barn in Darlington.
It took firefighters from Darlington, Whiteford, Bel Air, Level and Delta-Cardiff stations 30 minutes to control the fire in the 2900 block of Dublin Road, which was reported around 9:32 a.m, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office. The barn was a two-story wood framed structure, owned by Russell Dods, who discovered the fire.
Damage is estimated at $10,000 to the structure and $5,000 to its contents, according to the state fire marshal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but fire investigators said it started inside the barn.
