A dark green sedan was used in a possible attempted abduction in Joppa on Thursday.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, a 14-year-old girl was walking around Haverhill Road toward Joppa Farm Road when a black man, estimated in his early-to-mid 20s, pulled up alongside her in a dark green colored sedan, according to a police report.
The man, dressed in black sweat shirt, asked the girl to come over to the vehicle, to which she replied "no," before running home and telling her grandmother of the incident. The vehicle then sped out of the area.
Harford County Sheriff's deputies canvassed the area and were unable to find anything. There were no other passengers in the vehicle, according to the girl, and the driver did not threaten to harm her or exit the vehicle during the incident.
