Police feel confident that the robbery attempt at the High's store near the Festival at Bel Air shopping center Saturday is related to the robbery and shooting at the Exxon in Bel Air a short time later. They also investigating it as possibly connected to similar robberies in Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties.
Around 11 p.m. Saturday, a man armed with a gun, described as a black revolver, tried to rob clerks at the High's Dairy Store in the first block of Bel Air South Parkway and the Exxon in the 600 block of West MacPhail Road, according to a joint Metro Crime Stoppers flier from Bel Air Police and the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
At the Exxon, the man shot the clerk and may have taken money, according to the release.
Police also believe the same man was involved in similar crimes in Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties.
