Fourth person charged in Whiteford armed robbery

A fourth person has been charged in connection with an armed robbery last week in Whiteford that left two brothers in their underwear and socks.

Ronald Arthur Wacker III, 20, of the 500 block of Barkeford Road in Bel Air, was charged Dec. 30 with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.

Deputies initially responded to a 20-year-old man who was found in the 3900 block of Tabernacle Road in only his underwear and socks at 2:26 a.m. Dec. 30. The man said he and his 17-year-old brother had been assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

The brothers later identified Adam Jackson Emery, 20; Michael David Wells, 19; and Daniel Lewis Rohlfing, 19; after deputies found their vehicle at the Wawa at Routes 1 and 136. All three were charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, false imprisonment, use of a firearm in a violent crime and possessing a handgun in a vehicle.

During the interviews of Emery, Wells, Rohlfing, deputies learned that Wacker was also allegedly involved in the robbery, from afar, according to charging documents. Wacker allegedly assisted in planning the robbery and followed behind their vehicle in case they needed help.

Wacker also allegedly sent the text messages to "lure" the brothers into the location planned for the robbery, according to charging documents.

Both Wells and Rohlfing agreed to talk to detectives, according to charging documents, and confessed to the robbery, saying that one of the brothers had ripped off Emery in a drug deal.

Shortly after they picked up the brothers, Rohlfing allegedly pulled out a black handgun and told the brothers not to do anything stupid, while another assailant allegedly held a shotgun.

Wells also allegedly handed Rohlfing a set of brass knuckles, according to charging documents, which Rohlfing allegedly used to hit the brothers, according to charging documents.

Once on Tabernacle Road, Emery allegedly removed the older brother from the vehicle by his hair and allegedly put the handgun to his left temple and threatened to kill him.

The older brother was stripped of his clothing and then left on the side of the road and on Susquehanna Hall Road, Emery allegedly assaulted the younger brother, according to charging documents.

The 17-year-old was dropped off in the 2000 block of Susquehanna Hall Road, after being stripped of his clothes, according to charging documents.

Neither victim has been publicly identified by police.

The three men also allegedly stole a bag of marijuana from the two brothers, according to charging documents.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Emery was being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $1 million bond as was Rohlfing on a $750,000 bond. Wacker was released on a $250,000 bond Saturday and Wells was released on a $750,000 bond Tuesday.
