A woman was taken to Shock Trauma after being hit by a car during an early-morning domestic dispute Friday in Abingdon's Woodsdale Apartments, law enforcement and rescue officials reported.
The 45-year-old victim was in an argument with her estranged husband, Man N. Bach, 67, of Harrisburg, Pa., in the 100 block of Waldon Road when Bach allegedly got in his vehicle and struck the woman, knocking her to the ground, according to reports from the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association and Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company officials were called to the scene at 3:17 a.m. for a report of a struck pedestrian, Association spokesperson Jenn Chenworth said.
The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cristie Kahler said. The woman was in serious condition, Chenworth said.
Bach was found driving on East-West Highway near Route 165 and was arrested without incident, Kahler said.
He was released Sunday from the Harford County Detention Center on $50,000 bail after being charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to online court records.
