A resident in the 1900 block of Bennett Road in Aberdeen, according to charging documents, told police that Padgett had allegedly broken into her house around 7:15 p.m. and started to beat her in her back and head with a three-foot long piece of wood.

He also allegedly started choking her with both hands and when the woman got up, she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the left shoulder, according to charging documents.
