United Way names new Anne Arundel chairwoman

United Way of Central Maryland recently named Tonya L. Hill chairwoman of its Community Partnership Board for Anne Arundel County.

United Way named four new members to the Anne Arundel County Partnership Board, among a total of 10 new members to Partnership Boards across the region. Hill, a senior vice president and regional corporate banker with BB&T, will also serve as one of 11 new members of the governing Board of Directors.

The new members of the Anne Arundel County Partnership Board include:

Nicholas Crivella, an attorney with Bagley & Rhody, P.C., in Annapolis.

Stephanie Goldenberg, program coordinator of the Center for Learning through Service at Anne Arundel Community College

Claire Louder, president and CEO of the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.

Michael Russo, director and financial officer at Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A in Annapolis.

As community partnership chairman, Hill also will serve on United Way of Central Maryland's board of directors.

The board, chaired by Patricia M.C. Brown of Johns Hopkins Healthcare, is responsible for United Way's strategic direction and results, while community partnership boards help identify and address the needs at a local level. They also help raise and invest funds in support of United Way's family stability work in each jurisdiction.
