Severna Park's golf team finished in second place at Tuesday's District V tournament at Crofton Country Club and qualified for the state tournament.
Jordan Strom was the top Falcons' finisher with a 6-over par 78, followed by Addison Wells (79), Matthew Snowdon (86) and Matthew Verni (87).
Also qualifiying for the state tournament as individuals were Southern's Tim Glaser, who was the county's top individual finisher with a 76, county champion Joe Gaulin of South River (81), Chesapeake's Jack Snyder (82) and Old Mill's Paris Hagans (82).
The state tournament will take place on Oct. 24-26 at the College Park Golf Course at the University of Maryland. Winston Churchill is the defending Class 4A/3A state champion, while Marriotts Ridge won last year's Class 2A/1A title.
