Want to see how the governor decks the halls?

Gov. Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan will hold a holiday open house for the public on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Government House, the governor's mansion.

The event is free and does not require reservations.

Among the festivities planned for the open house are live performances each hour from Maryland high school groups, hot wassail for guests waiting in line and holiday cookies, brownies and dessert bars prepared by Government House chefs.

The Hogans are asking guests to consider bringing unwrapped toys to be donated to those in need. The Marine Corps Reserve will collect the donations on behalf of Toys for Tots under a tent by the front gate.

Parking for the event is available in the Bladen Street garage, which is free on weekends, as well as in other garages located on Main Street and West Street.
