Velvet Unplugged: The Fixx's Cy Curnin set for Saturday

Cy Curnin, lead singer of The Fixx, will perform Saturday, May 12, in Velvet Unplugged, an acoustic concert in the lobby of Universal's Hard Rock Hotel.

Curnin currently working on his fourth solo album, "The Horse's Mouth," which is set to come out this year.

Guests can watch the Curnin concert for free from the standing-only section or reserve a table for two people for $40 or a table that seats four for $60. Tickets for reserved tables include a free first round of drinks (house wine, house liquor, domestic draft beer or soda) and complimentary self- or valet parking.  Show time is 8 p.m.

This concert is not to be confused with the hotel's monthly Velvet Sessions, which will next feature Starship on May 31.
