The nationally-recognized unbeaten streak for Montverde Academy's boys soccer team continues to balloon.
At 13-0-1 on the season the Eagles have gone 150 consecutive regular season matches without a loss under head coach Mike Potempa since Oct. 28, 2010.
Montverde, which doesn't compete under the Florida High School Athletic Association umbrella, entered the season ranked No. 1 in the country in the Topdrawersoccer.com FAB 50 winter rankings.
Rodrigo Almeida leads Montverde with eight goals scored. Yousouff Tolo has scored six times and Kizza Edward has added five goals on the season.
Montverde has maintained its unblemished mark as of late by pulling out close wins over the likes of Seminole (1-0) and Trinity Prep (2-1), and holding on for a 0-0 draw last week against Naples Gulf Coast.

Florida programs include Gulliver Prep, Tampa Jesuit and Pembroke Pines Charter. The event will be held Jan. 12-14.
