Through Oct. 7: Magical Dining Month, Orlando. The promotion is offered at more than 100 area restaurants with $35 prixe-fixe three-course meals. One dollar from each meal served during Magical Dining is being donated to this year's charities, Freedom Ride and BASE Camp Children's Cancer Foundation. OrlandoMagicalDining.com

Through Oct. 27: SeaWorld's Craft Beer Festival. Orlando. Featuring more than 100 crafts brews, guests can sample a mix of domestic, international and local Florida favorites alongside more than 20 food items. Entry to the fest is included in regular park admission. Beer and food are extra, but prepaid sampling lanyards are on sale, 12-sample version for $54; one that gets you eight items is $40.

Through Oct. 27 (weekends): SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular, Orlando. During this daytime family event, guests can trick-or-treat, boogie at a dance party, meet Sesame Street friends including Elmo, The Count, Cookie Monster, and enjoy the new Sesame Street Halloween Parade. Through Nov. 1 (select dates): Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Walt Disney World. The special event at Magic Kingdom will be held on select dates on 36 nights. Through Nov. 2 (select nights): Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, Orlando. This event, now in its 29th year, is a ten-time winner of Amusement Today's "Best Halloween Event" Golden Ticket award. Through Nov. 2 (select nights): A Petrified Forest, Altamonte Springs. This spooky event has been offering haunted trails for guests to walk through and special themed nights for over ten years. Through Nov. 23: Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, Walt Disney World. The annual food and wine lover's paradise offers beverages from close to 30 global marketplaces. Oct. 3-6: 45th Annual Bicycle Festival, Mount Dora. Attracting over 1,000 cyclists of all ages, this is a 3-day weekend ride with multiple routes, food and festivities; a friendly ghost ride, crushing hill climbs, and 14 routes. 341 N. Alexander St. 352-383-2165. mountdorabicyclefestival.com

Oct. 4: Jazz Friday at Foosaner Museum of Art, Melbourne. Every first Friday of the month the Eau Gallie Arts District hosts live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, food and drinks on the corner of Highland Avenue and Eau Gallie Boulevard. The Foosaner Museum of Art is also open to the public and will provide live entertainment. Oct. 4-5, Oct. 25-26: Oktoberfest, Casselberry. The German American Society of Central Florida puts on two festivals in October with live entertainment, dancing, stein-holding contests, beer, bratwursts, potato salad, pretzels and bounce houses for children. Oct. 4-6: Mineral, Gem, Bead and Fossil Show, Orlando. Visitors can see and buy gems, beads, metaphysical stones and other items during this annual showcase put on by the Central Florida Mineral and Gem Society. Oct. 5: First Saturday Jam and Farm Swap, Barberville. On the first Saturday of each month visit the Pioneer Settlement for entertainment and fun for the entire family. Oct. 5: 11th Annual Mims Mullet Festival, Mims. Smoked and fried mullet dinners, BBQ chicken and pork dinners or sandwiches, hamburgers and hotdogs are on the menu at this festival put on by the Mims United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church of Mims. Oct. 11-13: BBQ and Blues Festival, Clermont. At Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, enjoy a variety of live blues music by top class performers on the outdoor stage. Oct. 11-27: Boo at the Zoo, Melbourne. Oct. 12: Monthly Fly-In Breakfast, Titusville. On the second Saturday of each month, the Warbird Air Museum hosts a breakfast where you can drive or fly in. Oct. 12-13: Winter Park Autumn Art Festival, Winter Park. This is the 46th annual juried art show with a longstanding tradition, drawing more than 40,000 people. Oct. 17: Sunset at the Zoo, Sanford. Take happy hour outside at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Oct. 17-20: Biketoberfest, Daytona Beach. Thousands of motorcycles will be roaring throughout Daytona Beach and beyond for the 27th anniversary of Biketoberfest. Oct. 19-20: Winter Springs ARToberFEST, Winter Springs. For this 12th annual event, there will be over 100 art vendors at Winter Springs Town Center, Blumberg Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Oct. 26: Wine Walk & Art Walk, New Smyrna Beach. Stroll Flagler Avenue and explore over 100 interesting wines inside local pubs, galleries and restaurants during this monthly progressive wine tasting event. Oct. 27: Festival Calle Orange, Orlando. Central Florida's largest Hispanic festival celebrates its 21st anniversary of bringing together people of many nationalities, religions and backgrounds to enjoy food, music and dancing in the streets. Oct. 26: Zoo Boo Bash, Sanford. The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens invites children and adults alike to trick-or-treat throughout the park while learning about the myths and realities of endangered animals. Through Nov. 2 (select nights): Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream, Tampa Bay. Howl-O-Scream will feature roaming hoards, seven haunted houses and live shows. Oct. 4-26 (Friday and Saturday): Lowry Park Zoo's Creatures of the Night, Tampa. The zoo will have scare zones, Halloween treats, glimpses of nocturnal animals 4 p.m.until 10 p.m. each weekend. Oct. 12: Second Saturday St. Petersburg ArtWalk, St. Petersburg. Meet artists and gallery owners every second Saturday of the month as more than 40 studios and galleries from all five arts districts come together as one arts destination. Oct. 11-13: Oktoberfest Tampa, Tampa. This 10th annual event will transform downtown Tampa's Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park into a beergarden with live music, dancing, beer and games. Oct. 17-20: Clearwater Jazz Holiday, Clearwater. The 40th annual Jazz Holiday brings together all veins of jazz music in one of the longest-running and best-known live jazz events in the country. Oct. 18-20: John's Pass Seafood Festival, Madeira Beach. Enjoy fresh seafood, live music and more in the historic John's Pass Village. The festival, in its 38th year, will also include a Halloween block party, live music, 5K, fishing tournament and the world's largest bloody mary toast. Oct. 25-26: 7th Annual Haunted Trails, Osprey. Oscar Scherer State Park hosts its annual haunted trails with a haunted house, trick-or-treating, costume contests, food and more. Entertainment includes trick-or-treating, costume contests, the spooky haunted trail and more. Oct. 31-Nov. 3: Spooky Empire, Tampa. This annual gathering shifts from Orlando this year, but still set to bring stars and fans of horror together in a Halloween, tattoo and film festival. 2019's version will feature Alice Cooper, the band Twisted Sister, the actress who plays Elvira, Tony Moran and others. Oct. 11: Yappy Hour, Fort Myers. Grab your pup and head to Bell Tower Shops for Yappy Hour, held on the second Friday of each month. You can meet adoptable dogs, enjoy an outdoor bar and listen to live music. Finish the night at one of the eight pet-friendly restaurants in the center. Oct. 18-20 & Oct. 25-27: Oktoberfest, Cape Coral. German tradition is alive and well in Cape Coral, home of Lee County's largest annual Oktoberfest. Hosted by the German-American Club, event highlights a kids' carnival area, two stages, a giant dance floor and bands direct from Germany. Hours vary each day. Tickets $5 in advance, $6 at the gate. Oct. 25-27: Stone Crab Festival, Naples. This 10th annual festival connects several locations on the Old Naples Waterfront, offering fresh stone crab claws, and art and more. Oct. 1: National Roller Skating Day, Fort Lauderdale. Xtreme Action Park is offering $5 Roller Skating on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 all day long at its 16,000 square-foot Arena Roller Skating Rink. Oct. 4-5: Oktoberfest, Port St. Lucie. German food and beer, music, dance and crafts will be on tap during the 16th annual Oktoberfest, presented by the City of Port St. Lucie and the German American Club of the Treasure Coast. Oct. 6: Sunday Jazz Brunch, Fort Lauderdale. Live outdoor concert series bring the area's best local jazz artists to the city's scenic Riverwalk the first Sunday of each month. Listen to the soulful sounds on four different stages. Oct 9: Jupiter Lighthouse Sunset Tour, Jupiter. Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts and bolts of a working lighthouse watch-room. $20. www.jupiterlighthouse.org

Oct. 11 through Nov. 12 (select nights): Fright Nights, West Palm Beach. This 18th annual event will feature four haunted houses, carnival rides, live music and food. Oct. 12: Wynwood Artwalk, Miami. Held every second Saturday, this event features openings at art galleries, institutions and businesses.
