This year's Spirited Women of Baltimore Awards event celebrated 10 accomplished women for their contributions to the Baltimore community ("Awards celebrate Baltimore women with spirit," Oct. 13).
They also recognized the Caroline Center for the important role this workforce development nonprofit plays in educating and preparing women for professional careers as certified nursing assistants, geriatric nursing assistants and pharmacy technicians.
As the Caroline Center's executive director, I and Caroline Center alumna and pharmacy technician Stefanie Muse were proud and grateful to be part of the event.
The Caroline Center adds its heartfelt congratulations to all of the award recipients, especially our longtime friend and Spirited Woman honoree Alice Ann Finnerty.
