I no longer read Dan Rodricks' column because it has become so simplistic and predictable.
However, when a buddy told me about a recent commentary in which Mr. Rodricks claimed that white males hate Hillary Clinton and that their animosity has more to do with Ms. Clinton's gender than anything else, I had to check it out ("Given positive economic trends, Trump a big risk," Sept. 17).
I had thought not even The Sun, with its known biases, would print such an obviously racist and sexist comment about millions of people. I suspect the piece never would have made it through the editing process if the population Mr. Rodricks insulted had been anything other than "white males."
I would remind readers that it was Bill Clinton who had sexual relations with a White House intern and other women while Hillary Clinton, his wife, called his accusers liars.
I would also remind readers that the last known Ku Klux Klan member to have served in Congress was Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd, who Ms. Clinton lauded as a mentor in 2010.
Perhaps Mr. Rodricks could write an article about Ms. Clinton and her "deplorable" KKK mentor.
