In its recent editorial, The Sun adopts President Barack Obama's primary argument in favor of the Iran deal — that the only choice is the deal or war ("A 'good enough' agreement," July 24). No one wants war. But the choice here is not war or no war. It is war now or war later.
Reject the deal and we may well have to destroy Iran's nuclear capability now. This is do-able given the vast superiority of our military. With the deal, Iran will have nuclear weapons in a few short years with the intercontinental ballistic missiles to carry a nuclear warhead right here to Baltimore or Washington, which Iran does not have now.
Then, God forbid, we will realize that the "no war" we elected in 2015 became the far worse war several years later.
