As Marylanders go to the polls today, it's easy to separate the facts from the arcane political ads.
There are essentially two institutions that create jobs in Maryland and across this country: business and government.
When businesses, large or small, create jobs many people benefit. When government, including the Democratic government that runs Maryland, creates jobs, citizens have to pay for them.
That is not helping the middle class. Nor is it helping the jobless or those who create jobs in the private sector.
