Politicians, if you show up to do volunteer work, please dress for the task. When you show up in a coat and tie to volunteer at a food bank it's hard for people to believe you are there to help others and not yourself.
Boyd Rutherford, thank you for being the exception. The lieutenant governor is the only one I have seen at a volunteer event dressed for the task at hand. He showed up to work hard, and I bet he does that every day. Isn't that what we want from our elected officials?
