UM's misplaced priorities

So, undergraduate tuition at the University of Maryland College Park is going to rise 4.99 percent ("University System of Maryland regents approve tuition increases," May 6) — except for students in programs that prepare them for high-demand jobs, who will be charged even more?

I guess they need a few more millions to pay the football and basketball coaches, who are already paid plenty to coach their teams. It says volumes about our state's priorities.
