Tubman on the twenty?

A group calling itself "Women on 20s" has taken a poll to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with a woman, Harriet Tubman ("Md.'s Tubman wins ballot for place on $20 bill," May 12).

They rationalize that this needs to be done to further empower women, who otherwise are suffering and being discriminated against in this country.

If only we would put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill all things will be good in this world.

Sorry gals, but all of those (evil) white men on the different denominations of paper currency in circulation are either ex-presidents or Founding Fathers. Without diminishing what Ms. Tubman accomplished during her lifetime, she was neither.

Where does all this appeasement stuff end? Do we need to put Rosie the Riveter on the $10 bill next? All this politically correct nonsense is really starting to get on my nerves.
