Balt. Co. went Clinton, not Trump

Presidential nominee Donald Trump is greeted by patrons at a diner in Dundalk, Maryland. (Baltimore Sun video)

I am responding to Bea Kallina's letter to the editor regarding Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz's April 5 order regarding immigration enforcement ("Kamenetz's views on immigration aren't shared," April 10). Ms. Kallina states that she is "one of the 394,126 Baltimore County residents who voted for Mr. Trump...."

In the 2016 presidential election, according to the Baltimore County Board of Elections, a total of 394,126 votes were cast in the entire county. However, only 149,477 were for Donald Trump, while 218,412 were cast for Hillary Clinton. The remainder were cast for independent and write-in candidiates.

I would ask that Ms. Kallina check her facts more carefully in the future before claiming them as evidence to support her opinions.
